E XS CRYSIS 3 UPDATE
UPDATE 24 August 2020: for those of you with limited hard drive space, this tool now allows you to skip the backup process (meaning you only need around 15 GB free space instead of 30 GB).
You will have to restore Crysis 3 to its vanilla state first by copying the _gameBackup folder back to your main game folder, and then run the tool again to get the updated video files. If you notice video stuttering in your modded Crysis 3, please download and use this latest version (same link as above). UPDATE 23 August 2020: I have updated this tool to better handle video files. Do not use mods in multiplayer or you might be banned! Important: only single-player mods are supported.
E XS CRYSIS 3 MOD
If you are planning on a a full run-through of the trilogy, there is a version of this mod available for Crysis 2 as well. However, feel free to try my NanoContinuity Mod for Crysis 3, which restores Speed Mode and the feel of the original Nanosuit. This tool does not come with any mods of its own. You will also need Python 3, Cheat Engine, and around 30 GB of free space on your computer (to back up the original game files). You must possess the most recent version of Crysis 3 on Origin or Steam to use this tool. This tool works entirely within your local Crysis 3 game folder no copyrighted game files are distributed by this tool, and no such files will ever leave your computer. After using the tool, modding works similarly to Crysis 2.
The result is the Crysis 3 Mod Enabler, which repackages your Crysis 3 game files using a public modding key that allows everyone to create and share their own mods. But true mod support in Crysis 3 has been nonexistent since its release, and I took it upon myself to change this. Okay, maybe you haven't been waiting quite that long. You have been waiting for over 7 years, and it's finally here! I am investigating this issue and will post a fix when/if I find one. IMPORTANT NOTICE, 12 April 2021: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR GAME! The most recent Crysis 3 update on Origin has "patched out" the ability to read the game's memory (the game crashes when you attempt to pause the game or do anything else in Cheat Engine).
